INTEL® EDUCATION SKILLS FOR INNOVATION

The rapid pace of technological advancement is fundamentally changing the skills needed for the jobs of the future. Intel collaborates with partners to provide hands-on innovation experiences, technology curricula, and employability skills training.

EdTech Ireland Innovation Hub has partnered with Intel Education to deliver the Skills for Innovation programme in Ireland.

Intel® SFI Framework

The Intel® SFI Framework allows decision makers and educators to understand, test drive, and implement the SFI vision in their education system. Intel’s SFI Professional Development Suite (Intel® SFI PD) empowers educators as they assume their role as leaders of learning experiences and facilitators of future-ready skill building. Intel’s SFI PD has four levels that transition educators from adapters of technology to mentors of innovation.

Support educators who are new to technology in building a strong foundation for basic digital fluency through a mix of F2F and supervised, online modules.

Catalyst

Level 3: Catalyst of Creative Confidence

Enable educators to reimagine learning experiences with technology to empower students to become confident innovators.

Owner

Level 2: Leader of Learning Experiences

Help educators transition from being content experts to becoming effective owners and leaders of learning experiences in anywhere learning scenarios.

Mentor

Level 4: Mentor of Upgraded Mindsets

Introduce educators to the upgraded mindsets that are essential for students to thrive in the 4th Industrial Revolution and successfully navigate unknowns of tomorrow.

The global EdTech industry is rapidly evolving, with increasing emphasis on evidence-based solutions to ensure efficacy and impact. However, many local EdTech ecosystems, including startups and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), face challenges in accessing and implementing rigorous evidence frameworks due to resource constraints. The EduEvidence.org framework, developed by the International Certification for Evidence in Education (ICEIE), provides a structured approach to evaluating the educational impact of EdTech solutions. Specifically, it focuses on five aspects of impact: efficacy, effectiveness, ethics, equity and environment. Efficacy is the key aspect of educational impact, gauged through controlled research studies.
