EdTech Ireland is setting a new standard in the education technology sector by championing not only growth and scalability, but also a strong focus on educational impact. In a market that is becoming increasingly saturated, and where only the most effective and evidence-based tools will thrive, EdTech Ireland is demonstrating that success is about meaningful educational value.
According to Tim Lavery, EdTech Ireland CEO, “With this milestone, EdTech Ireland isn't just elevating Irish edtech innovation—it is contributing to a global movement that demands accountability and proof of impact in education technology. Ireland’s proactive stance on efficacy through internationally recognised certification sends a message: evidence matters.”
Today, EdTech Ireland is proud to announce its first four certified companies are Aptarus Ltd, Fluirse Education Solutions, OnWard Education and STEM METAVERSE.
These companies have demonstrated a clear alignment with established educational research, articulated robust theories of change outlining how they aim to drive meaningful learning outcomes, and developed well-defined research pathways to validate their impact.
This certification follows a hands-on workshop co-hosted by EdTech Ireland and the International Centre for EdTech Impact, where participating companies engaged in deep discussions on impact measurement. During the session, each company developed and refined their own logic models and received expert feedback from researchers to strengthen their approach to evaluating efficacy.
The EduEvidence international certification of educational impact is a testament to the companies’ dedication, hard work, and willingness to align their solutions with meaningful outcomes.
With this achievement, the companies are now listed in the EduEvidence Catalogue—a global database of vetted, impact-proven education solutions. The catalogue is integrated with data systems across nearly all K–12 schools in the United States, several European countries, and parts of Asia, and is actively used by policymakers, school leaders, and procurement teams around the world to identify trusted tools that deliver results with verified impact.
EdTech Ireland’s commitment to rigorous evaluation and impact-driven development positions them as a model for other EdTech hubs and cohorts globally, encouraging a shift toward tools that genuinely improve teaching and learning.
